Jeff was born in Denver, Colorado and raised in a small city in Ohio. He has always had an interest and aptitude in building, creating and wanting to know how things work. His parents thought he was destructive when he disassembled the toaster, and took apart a chair at a local cafeteria. But later they discovered, he just wanted to know how things were put together and how things operated!

As a boy, age 8, he built his first creation; A "Go-Cart". He built it from scraps of wood from his dad's work shop. He used old lawnmower wheels and decorated the exterior with bumper stickers from Governor Love's political campaign, therefore he called it "The Love Mobile". And boy did that little cart go!

These interests inspired him to major in industrial arts, including wood working, metal fabrication, and mechanical drawing in high school, even though he was already developing his talents as a craftsman since age 6. He also enjoyed working on cars and restored a 1964 GTO in his late teens.

He went on to attend and graduate from United Electronics Institute in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. After 23 years working as a Field Service and Technical Support Engineer with Siemens Medical and General Electric, he decided to turn his passion into a full-time venture. This was the next logical step, since Jeff had been designing and building furniture on the side for a few lucky clients each year since 1989.

He works from concept to completion. When you hire Jeff to build a piece of furniture first he will meet with you and discuss what you need, what you want the furniture to do for you, what it will contain or be used for, where you want it placed, what your preferences are in wood, color, style, etc. Then the next step will be him hitting the drawing board, coming up with concepts. He will then present ideas to you and discuss what you like and what you want changed. After a final design has been approved he will begin work. He will communicate with you during the building processs so you know the status of your custom piece of furniture.

Jeff takes great pride in his craftsmanship and customer service. You can rest assured that any creation of his will be top quality, using the best materials your budget can afford.

As you can see by some of his work on this site, he is a perfectionist. His fit and finish is perfect. He is a good listener and is insightful in deciphering what you want from what you tell him you need. He is always interested in making sure his clients are satisfied.
