Charlotte needed a headboard for an antique four-post bed that was built in the 1930s without a headboard! She wanted a simple, clean Early American design. And this is the creation I designed and built.
I shaped the top curve of the headboard to match a familiar Early American design. I adorned it with a 1-inch bead. I meticulously cut a dado on the inside of each front post, which allowed the headboard to slip in-between the front posts and to look like the work of the original craftsman.(1993)
